When her sister Wendy was forced to leave nursing because of an Eczema condition, Helen Lock took up the idea of developing a cream without toxic or carcinogenic ingredients to treat her sister's skin condition.

"I made up the first batch of Skin Therapy XMA in my kitchen scraping Aloe leaves by hand and distributing it to family and work colleagues at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Once they started using XMA they began to have remarkable improvements in a vast array of skin problems. I suspect that because we basically eat a low fat or animal fat diet we do not get enough of the right oils to add lustre and suppleness to our skin, hair and nails."

Nut, plant and seed oils are needed to nourish the skin so it feels soft and supple. Vegetable glycerin takes the moisture from the air and holds it within the skin. Vitamin A will gently remove the dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin, while Vitamin C helps with cellular renewal so the skin underneath looks and feels fresher. Vitamin E will help with any deep tissue repair that is needed. Grapeseed extract contains anti-oxidants 50 times more powerful than Vitamin C and this helps to strengthen the skin.
