Henna is a traditional plant that has been used for thousands of years both as a dye and a conditioner giving the hair a smooth, healthy texture. Surya Henna products revitalize your hair with high quality Indian and Brazilian herbs, fruits and honey that deeply moisturize while colouring. It conditions, moisturizes and revitalizes the hair while colouring, leaving it much softer and shinier. Does not contain peroxide, ammonia, heavy metals, PPD, resorcinol, parabens, other harmful chemicals associated with the increased formation of free radicals known to cause premature aging and disease.

Safe and effective in covering 100% grey hair on first application, chemically treated hair, colour-treated hair and highlights. Semi-permanent hair colour - washes out of the hair after about 7 to 10 shampoos.

Instead of using synthetic fragrances, Surya Henna Cream is formulated with essential oils of Rose, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine and Sandalwood. These give it a milder and more pleasant fragrance than any other colouring product.

Hair Colour Dyes - Though our dyes are synthetic, they are carbon based and not heavy metal based like some hair dyes used in the conventional market. We have chosen the mildest of hair dyes and continue to monitor safety tests on these ingredients. Most of the colours used as hair dyes have not been tested for safety. We avoid those dyes that have been tested and found to questionable to humans.

Instructions

• Prior to using, it is recommended to perform a sensitivity test as everyone has potential for allergy
• If you have subjected the hair to any chemical process, conduct a test on a small portion of the hair prior to applying the product all over to be comfortable with the colour obtained.
• Surya Henna Cream is ready to use. Do not add chemicals, dyes, discolourants, peroxide, ammonia, creams, conditioners or metallic salts to Surya Henna Cream since this alters the product.
• Use only plastic or glass when applying Surya Henna Cream. Do not use metal or ceramic recipients in any stage of the process.
• Use only plastic bonnets during colouring process.
• Gloves are provided to prevent dyeing the skin.
• It is important to shampoo the hair before use, but do not condition the hair. After shampoo, leave hair damp and apply Surya Henna Cream.
• Colouring, lightening, relaxing or permanents may cause damage to the hair strand which could increase the uptake of colour. In this case, monitor development of colour regularly.
• Do not expose the product to bright light or to the sun. Keep in a dry, cool place. Once the package is open, the product can be used again, provided it is returned to a dry, cool place.
• Topical use only; keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not apply to lashes or eyebrows.

Tips for Colouring

• For best results, prior to using the product, wash the hair with Surya Restorative Shampoo to remove residues such as gel, fixative, cream or oil. After colouring, Surya Brasil's Colour Fixation Conditioner or Leave-In Conditioner can be used for added manageability and for extending colour duration.
• The use of thermal bonnet or hair dryer every 10 minutes results in a more intense colour. Leave Surya Colour Cream on for 1 hour for best results
• It is not possible to use Henna Cream to lighten the hair.
• Cream can be applied to cover pesky roots that are starting to show whilst leaving the rest of the hair uncoloured. Another benefit of Surya Henna Cream is that it gradually washes out - exposed 'root line' is never a problem.
• Different colours of Surya Henna Cream can be mixed together to create your own unique Shade.
• Surya Henna Cream may be applied several times without any interval.
• Surya Henna Cream is indicated for all hair types. Colour uptake should be monitored in the case of dry, damaged or processed hair.
• For dark brown hair with 50%-80% white use Surya Henna Cream in dark brown or chocolate brown for 60 minutes. When you have more than 40% white hair, you will achieve the best results with Henna Cream rather than Henna powder.
• In case of error in the selection of a colour, another Surya Henna Cream can be applied immediately after previous colouring, leaving your hair shiny and radiant.
