Description

The world’s only non-ammonia, non-peroxide permanent hair colour. Watercolour is a 95% water based product that is effective in colouring grey hair. Watercolour is activated by water and not by peroxide. It works with the hairs natural colour as a base , gently wrapping around the hair shaft, colouring the hair whilst making the hair softer, shinier and healthier. The result is glistening and long lasting colour, leaving your hair repaired, strengthened and replenished.

On dry hair it is permanent and on wet hair it is semi-permanent. For grey coverage it should be used on dry hair, on wet hair as a semi-permanent it will cover but be more translucent. It lasts as long as you require. Applied to damp hair it is semi-permanent. (Lasts up to 6 washes. No grey coverage.) Applied to well towel dried hair it lasts 21 washes and covers up to 50% grey. Applied to dry hair it is a permanent tint and colours up to 100% grey. Sensitive, controllable and textured effects With Water Colour, the depth of colour can also be finely tuned by how long it is left on.

If you have highlights and want to tone them to a warmer or darker shade, Water Colour can retain the highlighted effect. If you have a percentage of grey or white hair Water Colour can colour just these hairs creating beautiful natural lights. Simply choose a shade lighter than your natural base colour. Colour correction - Water Colour breaks the rules Water Colour is able to achieve many colouring effects that have in the past been complex, such as colour correction.

Should you wish to colour your hair back to your natural colour from previous lightening (hairdressers dread this type of job) it can be done in one simple application! Simply select your target colour and leave it on for 40 minutes (dry hair). This means Water Colour will make your hair warmer, or deeper, or both. If you are natural brown and you apply the same shade of natural brown you will become browner still.

If you have grey hair, choose a shade that is dark enough to colour the hair to a 'blended-in' effect, but light enough not to turn the natural hair too dark. If you have 30% grey hair or more, build-up becomes less of a problem. Neat root application avoids colour 'build-up' when using as a permanent. It is advisable to apply to the roots only when dealing with re-growth. This is often necessary when colouring under 30% grey hair depending on the depth of the chosen shade. This is better undertaken by a friend, as neat root application benefits from another pair of hands.

If you have more than 30% grey hair and you want to colour your hair back to your original natural colour, choose the shade nearest to your natural colour or as desired. The greyer you are, the deeper your shade choice will need to be. The shade descriptions assume you are about 50% grey. Use a shade darker if you are more than 50% grey. If the ends have not faded, re-apply the colour to the roots only for the required time. But if ends are slightly faded or the grey is re-emerging then apply for the last 5 to 10 minutes. This is usually enough without going too dark! Allergy or sensitivity Water Colour can cause the head to itch slightly in the most sensitive skin types. This is very unlikely to be an allergy, and should go upon rinsing.

Although this colour is gentle, indeed positively beneficial to the hair's condition, people allergic to tint will still be allergic to Water Colour. This is because the dye used, although completely different from traditional peroxide type dyes, is related as far as allergy is concerned. Do a 48 hour patch test on the elbow to be safe.
