Each of Amazonia Preciosa's mild formulas contains essential oil from the Preciosa tree bark. The Preciosa tree is a special plant that exhales a cinnamon fragrance impossible to duplicate, even in the most sophisticated laboratories. Ucuuba butter is extracted from the seeds of the plant. The ripe seed contains 42% palmitic and oleic acids and also contains fatty acid glycerides laurodimystin and trimyristin. These myristic acids are noted to support the even distribution of oils in curly hair. Since the natural oils of the hair have difficulty getting to the tips due to the curly shape of the strands, Ucuuba butter restores these oils along the entire strand, offering shine, softness and strength to the hair.
